SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Qudus Lawal's goal at the 77th minute to break the scoreless draw at Harder Stadium held on to give Fresno FC its fourth consecutive win of the 2019 preseason. The Foxes won 1-0 against UC Santa Barbara in Thursday's exhibition in southern California.
Fresno earned several early chances with from midfielder Jackson, Arun Basuljevic, and Jemal Johnson, but all were unable to get through the Gauchos defense. At the 30th minute, Juan Pablo Caffa saw his shot from outside the box miss wide right, and just before the half, a shot from Zachary Ellis-Hayden missed inches to the left.
