FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno FC’s 2019 USL Championship match schedule was announced Tuesday, with Los Zorros playing 17 home matches at Chukchansi Park in its second professional season. Fresno officially opens its second season as a member of the USL Championship on Saturday, March 9 at expansion franchise New Mexico United. Two weeks later, Los Zorros will play their home opener against Reno 1868 FC on Saturday, March 23 at Chukchansi Park. All home matches will kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT.
Other notable home matches include the first Highway 99 Derby of 2019, with Fresno hosting Sacramento Republic FC on May 8; a visit from defending Western Conference champions Phoenix Rising FC on September 21 and Las Vegas Lights on August 3. The Foxes will play their final regular-season home match on October 12 against LA Galaxy II, with the regular-season finale at Orange County SC on October 19.
In 2019, fans will be able to catch Los Zorros every month at Chukchansi Park, with the longest break between home matches just three weeks long. That stretch will see the Foxes play at Tulsa Roughnecks on August 31, Reno 1868 FC on September 7 and at Las Vegas Lights FC on September 14.
Fresno will also host first-year clubs Austin Bold FC, El Paso Locomotive and New Mexico United, when they make their inaugural trips to Fresno on May 22, June 29, and July 13, respectively.

The 2019 USL Championship regular season will open on Saturday, March 9 and conclude on Sunday, October 20, with every team playing a home-and-home series within its own conference. It will be the largest season yet, featuring 612 matches across 33 weeks in addition to an expanded playoff format.
The 2019 USL Cup Playoffs will expand to include 10 teams from each conference, with the lowest four seeds in each conference opening the postseason in the Play-In Round, provisionally slated for Wednesday, October 23 with the No. 7 seed hosting the No. 10 seed and the No. 8 seed hosting the No. 9 seed for a place in the Conference Quarterfinals.
Following the Play-In Round, the two teams to advance will be placed into the main bracket for the Conference Quarterfinals, with the lower remaining seed facing the conference’s No. 1 seed and the higher remaining seed facing the No. 2 seed.
The single-elimination format will then continue for the following four weekends in a fixed-bracket format with the higher seed in each matchup serving as host through the Eastern and Western Conference Finals. The 2019 USL Cup will be held between November 14-18, 2019 and be hosted by the conference champion with the better regular-season record.
