Fresno FC and Rio Grande Valley FC square off at 5:30 p.m. Saturday

EDINBURG, Texas - Los Zorros head to south Texas for the club's final road trip of their 2018 inaugural season in the United Soccer League. Fresno FC will face Rio Grande Valley FC Toros on Saturday at H-E-B Park with aspirations to finish the season in strong form. The two clubs, who are both out of playoff consideration, will look to take the series after playing to a 2-2 draw on May 9th in Fresno. In the first meeting, Fresno FC grabbed an early lead by way of an own goal and in the second half Alex Cooper gave Los Zorros a 2-1 lead at the 61st minute, however, the Toros would find an equalizer by way of Aldo Quintanilla's strike at the 73rd minute. Los Zorros aim to revert to winning ways after a five-match winless streak while the Toros will look to pick up their seventh win of the season in their final home match of the regular season. The Toros have won their last two matches at home, including an impressive 2-1 win over second-place Real Monarchs SLC on September 8th. The hosts are led in offense by Quintanilla, Todd Wharton, and Jesus Enriquez, who each have scored a team-best five goals this season, while Wharton and Quintanilla also lead the club in assists at four apiece. Fresno FC can manage a 10- win season in its first year by securing two victories in its final three matches of the regular season.

RGVFC's Aldo Quintanilla (23) is tied with Todd Wharton for the team's most goals (5) and assists (4).

Fresno FC is 2W-8L-6D in away matches this season, last grabbing a road victory on July 8th in a 4-2 result over Portland Timbers II in Oregon. Los Zorros will look for their third road result at H-E-B Park where the weather is forecast for a humid and cloudy afternoon with a high of 86 degrees and a 35% chance of rain at kickoff.

Newly acquired goalkeeper Mark Pais made his Fresno FC debut last week, starting in place of veteran Kyle Reynish against Portland Timbers II. Pais made four saves in his first official appearance as a Fox, though he did play in the club's exhibition against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Reserves earlier this month. Reynish did not travel as he is being rested by head coach Adam Smith, who plans to use Reynish in the final two home matches of the season.

The Foxes will finish the 2018 regular season at home, playing host to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Friday, October 5th, and Real Monarchs SLC on Saturday, October 13th. Tickets for those matches are available at and the Chukchansi Park Box Office. Fresno FC will be back in action one month later, when they face Mexico's Club Leon on Wednesday, November 14th.
