FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno Football Club announced Monday three player signings for the 2018 USL season, with California native and experienced goalkeeper Kyle Reynish, Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Rahim Alhassan and Scottish defender Alex Cooper joining the Foxes, pending USL and federation approval.
Reynish, 34, has played with several MLS, NASL and USL clubs over the last 11 seasons, including most recently with Atlanta United where he made two appearances in the 2017 season, serving as back-up to US Men’s National Team goalkeeper Brad Guzan. Alhassan and Cooper will make their stateside debuts, playing most recently for Asokwa Deportivo SC of the Ghana Premier League and Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC of the Scottish Championship, respectively.

"We've been identifying talent for our team over the last several months, and I'm ecstatic to bring these three individuals into our squad," said head coach Adam Smith. "Reynish is an established goalkeeper and a veteran force in the back that will help lead us in our inaugural season. Rahim and Alex have displayed athleticism, speed, and tremendous professionalism over the preseason. We've done our due diligence and couldn't be more pleased with these three additions."
Reynish, a native of Valencia, Calif., returns to his home state for the first time since 2006 when he played for the PDL Bakersfield Brigade. He was drafted 43rd overall by Real Salt Lake in the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft and made his senior debut in 2009. He signed with New York Cosmos for the 2013 season, making 12 appearances and helping the club win the 2013 Fall Championship and Soccer Bowl 2013 titles. He played collegiately for UC Santa Barbara, where he was the starting goalkeeper, and played every minute during their 2006 NCAA Championship season.
