EL PASO, Texas - Fresno can will aim to bounce back and close out its two-game Texas road trip with three points when the Foxes play at El Paso on Wednesday night in another edition of Wednesday Night Soccer on ESPN. The match will kick off at 6 p.m. PT and will be televised live on ThisTV 26.2 and ESPN3.
The Foxes (16-6-8) are coming off a 2-1 loss at San Antonio and will look to dust themselves off against an El Paso side they beat 3-0 at home back in June. If Fresno can take the victory, it could lock up a home playoff game in the Western Conference Quarterfinals if either Sacramento Republic FC or Orange County SC fails to take victory in their games on Saturday night. On the other hand, El Paso is also fighting to secure its place in the playoffs as the Locomotive sit just above the cutoff line in 9th. The Locomotive is coming off a 2-1 win at Sacramento and have won three of its last four to stay alive in the postseason race.
A Fresno win on Wednesday night will secure home-field advantage in the Western Conference quarterfinals.
Fresno FC won the first-ever meeting between the two sides, taking a 3-0 result on June 29, 2019 at Chukchansi Park
