FRESNO, Calif. - For the third time this season, Jemal Johnson has earned his place on the USL Championship Team of the Week. On Tuesday, Johnson made the Week 16 roster for his two-goal performance against San Antonio FC. Johnson drilled a long-distance stunner to open the scoring and later converted from the penalty spot to help the Foxes to a 3-2 win. He also completed 21 of 24 passes that evening, and his first goal made the No. 3 spot on SportsCenter's Top 10 plays of the day.
This is the ninth time in 2019 that a Foxes player has been selected to the Team of the Week and the first time a player has earned the nod three times. Johnson also earned the award in Week 6 when he scored two goals in the club's 3-1 win over Tulsa.
