MATCH PREVIEW

CARSON, Calif. - Los Zorros wrap up a busy week with a road trip to southern California against LA Galaxy II on Sunday, May 12 at Dignity Health Sports Park Track & Field Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and ThisTV 26.2 (Xfinity channel 189).

Fresno is coming off its first defeat of the season, a 1-0 loss to Sacramento Republic FC on Wednesday. Fresno outshot Sacramento 18-7 in the HWY 99 Derby, but was unable to convert those chances into goals as Sacramento took the three points. Nonetheless, Fresno still remains unbeaten on the road where it most recently took a 4-2 win over Real Monarchs SLC in Herriman, Utah, one week ago.

Los Zorros look to maintain their defensive prowess against an LA Galaxy II side that has scored 13 of its 16 goals this season on its home field, has not lost, and sits one point ahead of Fresno in the Western Conference standings in sixth place. Los Zorros look to end that streak behind a defense that has conceded just eight goals in eight games for the second-best defensive record in the West and remains unbeaten on the road.

Sunday's contest is the fourth consecutive at home for Los Dos, who have recorded two-straight shutouts against Las Vegas (D, 0-0) and Austin (W, 1-0), respectively.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Fresno is searching for its first USL Championship win against LA Galaxy II, having played 0-1-1 all-time. Los Zorros won their most-recent meeting, a 2-1 victory in the 2019 preseason at Chukchansi Park that saw goals from center back Mickey Daly and Christian Chaney.

The two teams met for the first time in Week 3 of the 2018 season which ended in a 1-1 draw at Chukchansi Park. In the away match, Los Dos won 2-1 as Fresno received a stoppage-time goal from Chaney.
