FRESNO, Calif. - The Foxes concluded their preseason with a 6-0 win over Fresno City College on Saturday afternoon, as Fresno FC received a pair of hat tricks from new additions Jaime Chavez and Arun Basuljevic.

Chavez put the Foxes ahead in the first minute, capitalizing on a defensive miscue by Fresno City. At the 17th minute, Chavez got his second on a diving header, putting the slightest kiss on a brilliant cross from Jackson down the right wing and sending the ball across goal and into the side netting.

The rain began to pick up midway through the first half, and so did the number of opportunities for the Foxes, although none saw the back of the net through the break.

The floodgates opened at the 62nd minute, with Chavez completing his hat trick after booming in a rebound on a free kick. Immediately after, Basuljevic took the reigns, scoring his first one minute later. He pounded in two more in the final five minutes of the game, one via an assist from Jemal Johnson and the other on a rebounded shot inside the box.

In a benefit for the Rams Pantry, fans at Saturday's scrimmage donated a total of 171 canned goods. Donations were collected at the entrance, with each donation receiving a free ticket to any Fresno FC home game after March 23.

The Foxes kick off the USL Championship regular season on Saturday, March 9 at New Mexico United. The Foxes open at home on March 23 against Reno 1868 FC. Tickets for the full 2019 Season and single games are available now at 559-320-2525 or by visiting
